New Director
|
| Art Miami, the second
largest art fair in Miami, after Art Basel Miami Beach,
has appointed Nick Korniloff, former Vice President of International
Fine Art Expositions (IFAE) which produces the fair, as
its new Director. Mr. Korniloff replaces Ilana Vardy, who
is largely credited with upgrading the quality of the fair
in recent years and spearheading its successful move from
Miami Beach to the heart of Miami’s Wynwood Art District.

New Management Team
|
| Art Basel Miami Beach
has announced that a new management team will be taking
over at ArtBasel and Art Basel Miami Beach. Supported by
an appointment committee of international experts, Messe
Schweiz has decided that the current Director, Sam Keller,
will be succeeded by a triumvirate: Cay Sophie Rabinowitz,
Annette Schönholzer, and Marc Spiegler will be assuming
joint responsibility for the international art shows. Cay
Sophie Rabinowitz will become Artistic Director, Annette
Schönholzer will be in charge of Organization and Finances,
and Marc Spiegler will be responsible for Strategy and Development.
Messe Schweiz, which produces both fairs, stated that the
reason for the change is to reinforce management capacities
aimed at giving Art Basel greater artistic, organizational,
and strategic strength, fostering its future development,
and guaranteeing personal service to galleries, artists,
collectors, museums, sponsors, the media, and other partners.
